Producing quality photographic images has been a passion of mine since the mid-seventies when I was on a photographic safari in Africa.  While continuing to capture pictures of the beautiful animals in this part of Wyoming, I am now channeling my energy into creating custom, personal portraits.

My goal is to produce portraits that are pleasing, a true representation of you, the client, and will evoke pleasant memories for a long time.

Portrait sessions can be located in various places, such as, the Wapiti valley, the entrance of Lake Hotel in Yellowstone, the porch of the Irma in Cody, the train station in Red Lodge, among the wild horses at McCullough peaks, or, of course, your home. A more controlled environment can be achieved in my studio with the latest equipment, lighting, and software necessary to achieve quality digital images.

My continuing education courses have been at Santa Fe Workshops, The Julia Dean Workshops, Nikon-sponsored courses, membership in the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and the personal contacts I have with several well known photographers.

Pricing and shooting information

When calling Bob Dowling Portraits for information and an appointment, we will arrange an initial appointment to meet and discuss the choices of time, location, and the type of portrait you want.  Then we will schedule the shoot and a time to review the results by projection. . The projected images will have minimal post-production work, although at least one will have complete editing and retouching to demonstrate how a final portrail will appear. Ordering the final edited, cropped, retouched prints can be done at that time.

There is a fee for the portrait session and that also includes the projection and viewing of images.  The cost of prints is additional, however, there is no minimum charge.  Prints will be ready and delivered within two weeks.
